It’s fun to have a classroom ‘theme’…you can find ideas in several areas… pro teacher has it as a topic, browse the web, check out teacher clubhouse, etc. Once you have picked one out you can now start to have fun with it. Create a warm and inviting classroom - make curtains with bees/polka dots/camping theme etc. on them. Use your theme any way you can in your classroom. I even find contact paper to cover my pencil cans, etc. that has my theme on it. I have baskets to collect caught being good tickets that relate to my theme. Think ebay or Easter baskets….Here are some examples…
